We bought the Loghouse Kilkenny Garden Log Cabin last year. We absolutely love it.
Loghouse/EcoHouse Developments Ltd. are very transparent in terms of pricing. Every item is separately priced in their brochure, listed in their order form, etc. We opted for the 6m x 4m sized version. It included premium living type doors and windows, steel roof tiles, 50mm floor insulation, damp-proof membrane and a weathering package.
We also selected the following upgrades: cabin assembly, time frame and block foundation, 100m roof insulation, external insulation and shiplap cladding, and gutters and downpipes.
We encountered one problem: We included their recommended electrician - Willprom Electrical - in our Order/Booking but only a week before the time arrived for the installation, Willprom Electrical told us that they would not travel to Wexford (as they are based in Dublin) unless we paid them additional money for travel. We had not budgeted for that extra cost, and the late notice of this meant that we could not get the electrics installed at the same time as the cabin! This caused us a lot of stress and upset- to the point that we were going to pull out altogether and look for our deposit back.
However, we decided to go ahead and are delighted that we did. The two young men who attended to prepare the site and build the cabin were very mannerly and courteous. They took off their shoes when entering the house, tidied up after they finished work each day, etc.
They were very efficient and hardworking – working long days and taking only short breaks.
They consulted with us when a few issues or options arose. They really were exceptional workers. I think one of them is called Tomas.
The doors and windows of our cabin are of high quality. The cabin is sturdy. It withstood the various weather storms we endured throughout last Winter 24/25.
We originally used it to store furniture, etc. following a house move. We got a local electrician to install lighting and electrics. What was stored there over the Winter did not get damp or mouldy. We ran a little heater in it at times over the Winter but find that we don’t need the heater over the Summer. We now use it as a den for all recreational and relaxing activities – playing music, card games, reading, exercising, little gatherings over the Summer, etc. It looks lovely at the end of our garden. We are thrilled to have it. We would highly recommend Loghouse/EcoHouse Developments Ltd. for the purchase and installation of a garden cabin.

Great company to deal with up to and including assembly. The cabin is beautiful. However, the after care service has been very disappointing. I’ve been having issues with the door handle since late July and have been in contact with the service team since 29/07 and have been told several times it will be dealt with but still no joy and the issue persists. I feel like I’m being ignored in the hope that myself and the issue will just go away. I may just have to buy a new handle and install it myself. Very disappointing.

I would have no hesitation recommending Loghouse .ie. I purchased a custom extension through their Athlone branch. As it was a custom build, there were several extra consultations required and a site visit. The communication and feedback throughout the process was excellent. The build crew were extremely professional and two significant issues that surfaced during the build were dealt with seamlessly, and with minimal fuss or disruption by them. Time lines and promises were kept. I got exactly what I paid for and I’m very happy with the build quality of the structure.

Purchased a cabin in 2015 for 12900 euro and it came with a 10 year warranty my cabin its rotten all around the bottom and got intouch with this company and they told my I Purchased from the old log house and it was resolved and my warranty does not stand shocking stuff con be careful with this company as they will only call out to have a look and a fee and give me a price to fix then stay away people not good service my cabin is only 9 year old and falling apart 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

We had a custom built Loghouse constructed in our rear garden. From contract signing to painting and oiling (including plumbing and electricity) took approximately 6 weeks. The majority of this was a 5 week lead time for manufacture (in Lithuania) of a custom made cabin. The process was perfectly smooth, non intrusive and professional. The speed of build was impressive.

If you are thinking of purchasing a log cabin, I would have no hesitation in recommending Loghouse.ie. I had heard very good things about Loghouse.ie and I knew from experience their cabins were excellent so I decided therefore to contact Keith in their Dublin office directly. I couldn't have made a better decision. Despite only phone/email contact, Keith was extremely helpful and made the ordering process very simple and answered my many questions. After my order was placed I was contacted by Eli who handled the whole installation process. I have to say a big thank you to him for helping us out when on the day of installation there was an issue with our groundwork. He really went above and beyond to ensure our cabin was installed on time. The build team themselves were excellent and extremely fast, they liaised with my plumber and electrician so they could to do their first fix, they went over everything with me and checked I was happy before finishing up and left my property clean and tidy. The painter arrived within one day of the build being completed and also did an excellent job. I couldn't have received a better service and the finished job is excellent. The exterior insulation was one of the best additional features we purchased as the heat that the cabin retains is fantastic. We are so happy with our cabin and delighted with the service we received from Keith, Eli and all the team.

Update 10/11/2023. We’ve had one reply from Loghouse however we’ve had no direct contact from Loghouse. My mother can’t even close the bathroom door. I don’t mean lock I mean close the door. There is now condensation forming on the inside windows and piles of rubbish all over the site. The condensation is clearly due to the fact they forgot to install some windows and the rain has soaked the interior of the house. The carport still hasn’t been finished and there are planks of wood awaiting installation on the ground.
What annoys me the most, besides the lack of communication and the botched work, is that they are making their supplier my mother’s issue. That is not our problem, it’s theirs and instead of biting the bullet, as any well intentioned company would do, and get the doors elsewhere, they let an elderly woman in this situation.

Our one door came off the hinges after 2.5 years. We were told warranty doesn't cover the doors and we need to get a new one. After several phone calls, loads of emails the issue still wasn't resolved. The main problem we gathered that these doors weren't available anymore. They quoted us 1800 euros for cabin door replacement!!!
At the end we ended up getting carpenter to fix it for us and it cost 50 euros!!!

We just had our second home office installed here in Kerry ,first one was at home in Dublin ,now I can go to the office when I'm away at the weekend.
As usual with Loghouse we are delighted with the service ,from ordering with the 2 guys in Cork to the builders everything was just perfect ,my neighbour will be in shortly to order one,we went with the Garden Room style as it sits well with the countryside .
I cannot recommend this company enough,just top class service all round.
There is no company comes even close ,believe me I've checked and their product and service comes nowhere near Loghouse.
If I could give it 100 stars out of 5 I would. Well done guys.
